Continental Congress, Seven Dollars. The front of the note states, "SEVEN DOLLARS. / Printed by Hall and Sellers. 1778." The front of the bill also has a square image of two leaves. The back of the note states in the top and bottom margins, "SEVEN DOLLARS / The United States / 7 D" The side margins state, "7 Dollars / Continental Currency / VII". The main body of the back of the note states, "Seven Dollars. / This Bill entitles the Bearer to receive SEVEN Spanish milled DOLLARS, or the Value thereof in Gold or Silver, according to a Resolution passed by CONGRESS, at Philadelphia, September 26th, 1778. The back of the note has a circular image of a mountain and town landscape with rain clouds; around the edge of the circle is the word "SERENABIT."
